Men's Volleyball Celebrates Senior Day With Sweep of Carlow

Springfield, OH – The Wittenberg Tiger Men's Volleyball team swept the Celtics of Carlow University, 3-0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-18). Before the match got underway, the Wittenberg volleyball team celebrated the careers of their two seniors Chris Goertz and Dominic Melchiorre. The two seniors would lead the Tiger attack on the afternoon, finishing with double-digit kills each.

Dominic Melchiorre posted 14 kills on 22 swings with four errors for a .455 hitting-percentage, adding six digs to his total. Chris Goertz put down 10 kills on 19 total attack attempts, finishing with a .316 hitting percentage. Goertz added six digs and three service aces to his final tally.

Sam Richardson posted 34 of Wittenberg's 35 assists on the day. Richardson added five service aces with two kills.

Matthew Gerardi had an error free game, putting down five kills on 10 attack attempts with three digs.
