Tigers Sweep Lions at Home

Springfield, OH- Wittenberg returned to Pam Evans Smith Arena where they took on the Lions of Mount St. Joseph. The Tigers were able to pick up their tenth win of the season after sweeping the Lions in three sets going 25-16 in set one, 28-26 in set two and 25-21 in the final set.

Wittenberg was led by Dominic Melchiorre with 9 kills and 13.5 points on the night followed by Eli Halverson with eight kills. Andrew Diaz de Padilla led in assists with 24 and three digs. The Tigers had an overall kill percentage of .106 to take down the Lions in three sets.

Wittenberg now stands at 10-7 on the season, going 7-3 at home as they near conference play.

Up Next- The Tigers will return to action on March 7th at home against Mount Vernon Nazarene and Kentucky State. The first match of the day will take place at 2:00 PM.
