Men Add Win To Schedule On The Road

Cincinnati, OH- The Tigers added their fifth win of the season after defeating Mount St. Joseph in five sets with a score of 3-2.

The Tigers had a tough first set, falling to the Lions with a 25-23 score. Wittenberg was able to come back in the second set with a hitting percentage of 54.5% over the Lions 25.9% to take the second set with a score of 25-21 to tie the series 1-1.

Wittenberg wasn't able to carry the momentum into the third set and fell with a 25-20 score for Mount St. Joseph to take the lead 2-1. A determined Wittenberg team took the lead early in the fourth set, taking an eight point lead at one point to slow down the lions. Wittenberg stayed in the series after taking the fourth set with a score of 25-22.  The fifth set would become a back and forth battle for the win with Jackson Tyler tying the set 11-11. The Lions own errors would be their downfall and give Wittenberg a 15-11 win in the fourth set.

Tigers were led by Jackson Tyler who put up 19 points with 17 kills. Noah Wissel helped out the Tigers with 49 assists, 18 more than Mount St. Joseph's top guy. Freshman, Fred Halper picked up 13 of the 43 digs for Wittenberg to bring his career total to 104.
