Tigers Top Pioneers in Final Non-Conference Meeting

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Wittenberg Tiger men's tennis team ran up its 12th win of the year on the final regular season road trip, topping the Transylvania Pioneers, 6-3. Four singles victories broke open a tight match as the Tigers prepare for a trio of home conference matches to conclude the regular season.

A pair a double-winners on the day included junior Craig Lods (Chillicothe, Ohio/Chillicothe) as well as Bobby Fisher (Gahanna, Ohio/Lincoln). Lods topped his singles foe at the fifth flight in a 6-1, 6-2 contest. His win came off a doubles victory in the top flight with senior teammate Brad Seymour (Chillicothe, Ohio/Chillicothe).

Meanwhile, Fisher took care of his match with a 7-6 (7-5), 6-2 win at the second tier while helping his doubles pairing take the third match in an 8-1 runaway.

The Tigers return to the conference trail this Tuesday, April 14 when Ohio Wesleyan comes to visit for a 4 p.m. opening serve.
