Rochester, NY – Sydney Khosla captured a second-place finish in the women's 3000-meter steeple chase event at the 2023 NCAA DIII Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Putting together record-breaking performances week-after-week, Khosla earned a spot in the final meet of the season with one of the top 10 fastest times in the country.
The junior from Centerville, Ohio, Khosla post one of the top five fastest times during the preliminary heat with a time of 10:32.82.
Cutting more than 15 seconds and setting a new Wittenberg record and personal best, Khosla crossed the line in a time of 10:15.81 to secure the second-place finish.
This was the third time a Wittenberg Tiger has appeared at the NCAA DIII Outdoor Championships since 2010. Brea Medlock made back-to-back appearances in 2015 and 2016.
With this time, Khosla becomes the fifth All-American honoree on the women's track & field team and the first since Kelly Zilli in 2004.
