Women's Tennis gets 9-0 sweep of Trine in final game of spring break schedule

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Wittenberg women's tennis team closed out its four-game spring break trip in Florida on Thursday with a 9-0 win over Trine.
The Basics
- Records: Wittenberg (8-2 overall), Trine (6-4 overall)
- Venue: USTA National Campus - Orlando, Fla.
- Wittenberg is now 3-0 all-time against Trine.
The Match
- Wittenberg opened by winning all three doubles courts. Junior Caroline Sproule (Lewis Center, Ohio/Olentangy Orange) and freshman Kylie Wilson (Powell, Ohio/Olentangy Liberty) won 8-1 at No. 1, freshmen Sophia Pischalko (Granger, Ind./Penn) and Breanna Ball (Powell, Ohio/Olentangy) won 8-5 at No. 2 and freshmen Claire Loomis (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) and Lilly Hartman (Lexington, Ky./Henry Clay) won 8-2 at No. 3.
- The Tigers proceeded to win all six singles courts to close out the sweep.
- Sproule won 6-4, 6-0 at No. 1.
- Wilson won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 2.
- Pischalko won 6-1, 6-3 at No. 3.
- Ball won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 4.
- Loomis won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 5.
- Hartman won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 6.
