Women's Tennis improves to 4-0 with 8-1 win over Baldwin Wallace

DAYTON — The Wittenberg women's tennis team defeated Baldwin Wallace 8-1 on Saturday to remain unbeaten on the season.

The Match

  • Wittenberg began the match by taking all three doubles courts. Junior Caroline Sproule (Lewis Center, Ohio/Olentangy Orange) and freshman Kylie Wilson (Powell, Ohio/Olengtangy Liberty) won 8-4 at No. 1 doubles, the freshman duo of Sophia Pischalko (Granger, Ind./Penn) and Breanna Ball (Powell, Ohio/Olentangy) won 8-3 at No. 2 doubles, and freshmen Claire Loomis (Pittsburg, Pa./Upper St. Clair) and Lilly Hartman (Lexington, Ky./Henry Clay) won 8-0 at No. 3 doubles.
  • The Tigers then took five of the six singles courts.
  • Sproule won 4-6, 5-1, opponent retiring at No. 1 singles.
  • Wilson won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 singles.
  • Pischalko won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.
  • Loomis won 6-2, 6-4 at No. 4 singles.
  • Hartman won 6-4, 6-2 at No. 5 singles.
  • Hartings fell 4-6, 0-6 at No. 6 singles.
