CLEVELAND, Ohio — Denison sophomore Meghan Damico (Pittsburgh, PA/Fox Chapel) has been named Player of the Year to highlight the 2007 All-North Coast Athletic Conference women's tennis selections. Wittenberg sophomore Allison Earhart was selected to the second-team.

CLEVELAND, Ohio — 2006 North Coast champion Denison emerged as the preseason favorite in balloting by seven of eight North Coast Athletic Conference women's tennis coaches in their annual preseason poll.

The Wittenberg University men's and women's tennis teams are very young in 2006-07, but first-year Head Coach Pablo Russo hopes the experience gained will provide a foundation for a consistent winner in years to come.

Wittenberg University will host one of 61Wilson/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regional Championship Tournaments played across the country over the last three weeks of September.

Wittenberg Director of Athletics and Recreation Garnett Purnell announced that Pablo Russo has been named the university’s new men’s and women’s tennis head coach.
