Schuld, Hallett, DeHart, Stone earn CSC Academic All-District honors in Women's Swimming and Diving

SPRINGFIELD — Wittenberg senior Mackenzie Schuld (Rocky River, Ohio/Rocky River), junior Jenna Hallett (Delta, Ohio/Delta) and sophomores Macy DeHart (Springfield, Ohio/Kenton Ridge) and Shania Stone (Cincinnati, Ohio/Princeton) were named to the College Sports Communicators NCAA Division III Women's Swimming and Diving Academic All-District Team for the 2023-24 season, the organization announced on Tuesday.

The CSC Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. To earn CSC Academic All-District distinction, student-athletes must be a sophomore or above in class standing with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 and must have competed in four competitions or finish in the top eight in an event at a conference meet.

Schuld, a nursing major, boasts a 3.80 GPA. She was part of four Wittenberg relay teams that posted top-eight finishes at the 2024 North Coast Athletic Conference Championships. The 200 free relay and 400 medley relay teams both placed fifth, the 200 medley relay team placed sixth, and the 800 free relay team placed seventh.

Hallett, a nursing major, boasts a 3.96 GPA. She was a member of the 800 free relay team that placed seventh at the conference meet.

DeHart, an education major and Spanish minor, boasts a 4.00 GPA. She is one of three divers on Wittenberg's roster and placed 13th in the 1-meter diving competition at the conference meet.

Stone, a psychology major and Chinese minor, boasts a 3.94 GPA and was one of Wittenberg's most accomplished swimmers in 2023-24. She was a member of the fifth-place 400 medley relay and 200 free relay teams at the conference meet as well as the sixth-place 200 medley relay and seventh-place 400 free relay teams. She split under the program's 50 free varsity record in her leg of the 200 medley relay with a time of 23.99 seconds.

Stone added an eighth-place finish in the 100 breast finals after posting a prelim time of 1:06.53, which ranks fifth all-time at Wittenberg.

She also earned an NCAC Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week accolade on Dec. 12 after winning the 100 free and 200 free and swimming the final leg of the first-place 200 free relay to lead the Tigers to a dual meet win over Manchester.

Academic All-District honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First, second and third team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on April 23.
