Coach Robinson Welcomes Five New Tigers To Incoming Recruiting Class

Springfield, OH The Wittenberg Women's Soccer Team adds five players in their 2023 Recruiting Class.

Rachel Spencer is a native from Columbus, Ohio graduated in 2023 from Bishop Watterson High School. On the field, Spencer was awarded Division 1 All State Team, 1st Team Division 1 All District, and three-time 1st Team All-League. Rachel was a captain her senior year and was part of a Bishop Watterson team that were 3-time Central Catholic League Champions, 3-time District Champions, and 2-time State Regional Champions.

Rachel is the daughter of Bill and Renee Spencer and has a brother, John.

Sydney Werner, from Granville Ohio, graduates this year from Granville High School with Honors and as an AP student. Sydney is in the top 30% of her class and is the president of Mock Trail. On the field Sydney was a 4-year varsity letter winner. She was part of a Granville team that were a 3-time Licking County League champions, 3-time district champions, 2-time regional champions, and were state runners-up.

Sydney is a forward for Ohio Premier and is a member of the NPL team.

Sydney is the daughter of Adam and Jennifer Werner and has two siblings, a brother, Seth and a sister, Sophia.

Lily Winkle, from Cynthiana, KY graduates from Harrison County High School with Honors. On the field, Lily was part of a Harrison County team that were four-time District Champions. She received 1st Team All-Region and Kentucky All-State honorable mention in 2022. She has also received Academic All-State all four years.

Lily is a Goalkeeper for Racing Louisville and is a member of the ECNL team.

Lily is the daughter of Kelvin and Laura Winkle and has two brothers, Evan and Owen.

Ava Otey, a Columbus native graduates from Olentangy Orange High School as a member of the Spanish Honor Society, National Honors Society and as a scholar athlete. She was also awarded Academic All Ohio. On the field, Ava was awarded Honorable Mention All-OCC. Ava was part of an Olentangy Orange team that earned District Runners-Up in 2021, OCC Central Champions 2022, District Champions 2022, and Regional Champions in 2022.

Ava is a Forward for Ohio Premier and is a member of the ECNL-RL team.

Ava is the daughter of Tommy and Angie Otey and has one brother, Cole.

Piper Williams of Lebanon, Ohio joins the Tigers from Lebanon High School. On the field, Piper was awarded Academic All-Conference, and 2nd team all-conference.

Piper is a forward for Ohio Galaxies and a member of their Elite 64 team.

Piper is the daughter of Jack and Courtney Williams and has two sisters, Raegan and Jocelyn.
