Springfield, OH – The Wittenberg women's soccer team closed out non-conference action on Tuesday evening, taking down Franklin College 1-0 from Edwards-Maurer Field. The Tiger offense came out firing, 22 shots and placing nine on frame throughout the match. With time winding down, Bailey Hurley found the back of the Franklin net in the 79th minute, coming off of the Brooke Peters corner kick. Another strong performance from the Wittenberg defense and keeper Kelly Corbin, earning the shutout win. Wittenberg would allow just two Franklin shots on the night, without conceding a corner kick to the Grizzlies.

Wittenberg will get back into NCAC action, traveling to Kenyon College on Saturday, Oct. 5 to take on the Ladies at 1:00 PM from Gambier, OH.
