Laura Rose's Big Week Earns NCAC Weekly Award
Sophomore Laura Rose (Riverside, Ohio/Stebbins) played the hero on Saturday, laying down a successful squeeze bunt to break a fifth-inning 2-2 tie in game one and contributing two RBIs to help Wittenberg win game two. Rose led the Tigers to a 4-0 week after hitting .500, including eight RBI, one double, one home run and two stolen bases.

Wittenberg sophomore Laura Rose (Riverside, Ohio/Stebbins) played the hero on Saturday, laying down a successful squeeze bunt to break a fifth-inning 2-2 tie and put the Tigers ahead of Allegheny in game one. The Tigers held the lead to win 3-2 and move into a tie with Allegheny for first place. With solo position of first place on the line, Rose then contributed two RBI to help Wittenberg win game two and the conference lead by a 7-2 score. Rose led the Tigers to a 4-0 week after hitting .500, including eight RBI, one double, one home run and two stolen bases.
