Wittenberg Places 135 Student-Athletes on NCAC Dr. Gordon Collins Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll
Cleveland, OH - Wittenberg placed 135 student-athletes on the 2024-25 North Coast Athletic Conference Dr. Gordon Collins Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll.
Recently announced, a conference-wide total of 1,342 student-athletes earned placement on the list. The honorees were selected from all nine full-time NCAC institutions and four affiliate members. Each full-time institution had at least 70 student-athletes named to the Honor Roll, with an average of about 146 per school.
To be honored, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore on an active roster in a sport sponsored by the conference and hold a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher. Eligible honorees are submitted by each school.
This year’s 1,342 student-athletes accounted for 1,487 total roster spots, which take into consideration multi-sport student-athletes.
Women’s track and field student-athletes led the way with 128 total honorees, while football posted the second-highest total for the second year in a row with 111. Baseball was represented by 108 student-athletes for third-most. Women’s swimming and diving had 105 honorees to finish in the top five for the second-straight year. Rounding out the top five spots was men’s track and field with 101 student-athletes honored.
The 2024-25 NCAC Dr. Gordon Collins Academic Honor Roll class features 12 graduate students, 430 seniors, 432 juniors and 467 sophomores.
DePauw led the conference with 190 honorees, followed by Oberlin with 177, and Wooster had 172.
Wittenberg’s 135 honorees are listed below. Included are 48 sophomores, 46 juniors, 37 seniors, and four graduate students. Categorized by sport, women’s track and field led the way with 17 honorees, followed by baseball, softball, and women’s soccer with 13 each.
