Athletics Communications Assistant Grant Martin

Grant Martin joined Wittenberg as the athletic communications assistant after serving as a graduate assistant for a year and a half in the Athletic Communications Department. In his role, Grant oversees the pressbox and recording statistics during home events, communicates with other schools to exchange statistics and roster files before and after games, and helps to maintain Wittenberg's Athletics web site, including rosters, schedules, game recaps, and other features.

Before arriving at Wittenberg, Grant worked as a student statistician at Bowling Green State University, primarily with basketball, football, and ice hockey. After graduation, he spent spring training with the Detroit Tigers as a clubhouse attendant and worked in ticket sales for the Cincinnati Reds. In 2020, Grant was hired by the Lancaster Stormers of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball as part of the sales staff. After two years in the role and a short internship in ticketing at Michigan State University, Grant started graduate school at Wittenberg in 2023.  

After growing up in Marysville, Ohio, Grant earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management from Bowling Green State University in 2019 and completed his master's in athletic administration at Wittenberg in the summer of 2025.
