Brad Beals joined Wittenberg University's administrative team in the Department of Athletics in January 2025. Brad is a 1988 graduate of Wittenberg University and holds master's degrees from both Miami University and the University of Dayton.

Prior to returning to his alma mater, Beals was the Athletic Director and Assistant Principal at nearby Northwestern High School in Clark County. He retired from public education in January 2024 after a 30-year stint at Northwestern. Brad previously had short stints at Wittenberg University, Newton High School, and Miami University before landing at Northwestern.

Beals coached baseball collegiately at Wittenberg (’89-91) and Miami University (’94-96). Brad served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for both institutions. He also coached high school baseball Newton (’91-94) and Northwestern (’96-06). Beals’ overall high school head coaching record is 210-129.

As a student-athlete at Wittenberg, Beals was named captain of the 1987 Cross Country and 1988 Track and Field teams. Beals was a member of the 1985 cross country team that still holds Wittenberg's program record for the best NCAA regional finish in program history.

Brad is a lifelong resident of Springfield, Ohio. Brad and his wife Amie recently celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary. Brad has four children, daughters Katelin and Kirsten, and stepson, Spencer, and stepdaughter, Maria.
