Wittenberg University volleyball Head Coach Paco Labrador announces the addition of six high school standouts that have declared their intent to play for the nationally ranked volleyball team this Fall. They will be members of Wittenberg’s Class of 2021 and will begin their career as Tigers in the Fall of 2017.
Wittenberg senior women's volleyball player, Emily Kahlig, was named a recipient of the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship for the 2016-17 school year, one of the most prestigious awards a college student-athlete can achieve.

#7 Wittenberg women’s volleyball is set to travel to Calvin College for the opening round of the NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball Tournament on Tuesday night, as the Tigers square off against Bethany College on Thursday at 3:00PM.
The Tigers title is their 22nd NCAC Volleyball Tournament Title, leading the league, as Paco Labrador’s team has booked their ticket to the NCAA tournament Division III Volleyball Tournament.
Wittenberg concluded their NCAC regular season with a 3-0 win over Oberlin, locking up the NCAC Regular Season Title, as the team went unblemished in NCAC play for the sixth straight season.
The Tigers managed to 3-0 IWU on Friday night, but the tables were turned on the Tigers the following two matches as Wittenberg dropped six straight sets to Dallas and Washington combined.
#3 Wittenberg won their ninth straight match on Wednesday night in Springfield, as the Tigers improved to 7-0 in NCAC play after downing the Ladies of Kenyon 3-0.
Wittenberg dropped the first set 25-23 after leading by as many as ten points, but went on to re-group and rattle off three straight set victories at; 25-15, 25-22, and 25-16.
Wittenberg only needed three sets to take care of the visiting Gators, as the Tigers took care of business; 25-14, 25-18, and 25-12. Wittenberg improves to 8-3 overall in 2016 with the victory, as well as 2-0 in NCAC play.
Not many programs can boast that they faced off against the number one, two and three programs in the county in a week’s time, but the Wittenberg Tigers women’s volleyball team did so this past week.
In a rematch of the 2015 Division III National Championship match, WIttenberg knocked off the #1 undefeated team in the nation, Cal Lu, 3-1 in Springfield.
