SPRINGFIELD, OH — Five members of Wittenberg's men's and women's swimming and diving program have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) NCAA Division III Soccer Academic All-District Teams for the 2024-25 season, the organization announced.

The CSC Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. To earn CSC Academic All-District distinction, student-athletes must be a sophomore or above in class standing with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.50 while meeting athletic participation requirements.

In swimming and diving, each men's team and each women's team is limited to four nominations per year. Selected Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot (noted by asterisk on release from CSC). First-, Second-, and Third-Team Academic All-America honorees will be announced later this month.

On the men's side, Wittenberg is represented by junior Mason Steen (LeRoy, OH/Riverside), who is majoring in biology and boasts a 3.72 GPA. Steen was a point-scorer for the Tigers in several different events throughout the season, highlighted by strong performances in the breaststroke events, the 500-yard freestyle, and the freestyle relays at the 2024 North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Championships.

The Tiger men's swimming and diving team finished 4-5 in dual meets in the 2024-25 season and placed ninth in the NCAC Championships.

For the Witt women, four Tigers were selected: junior Macy DeHart (Springfield, OH / Kenton Ridge), junior Jenna Hallett (Delta, OH / Delta), junior Shania Stone (Cincinnati, OH / Princeton), and sophomore Sophie Paskiet (Toledo, OH / St. Ursula).

DeHart, who is graduating a year early with a perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point average, is majoring in education at Wittenberg. She has been a member of both the women's track and field team, specializing in throwing events, and the swimming and diving team, specializing in diving events, during her collegiate career. At the NCAC Championships, DeHart placed 16th in the 1-meter diving competition.

Hallett is majoring in nursing and has excelled academically with a 3.96 grade point average. She scored points in the NCAC Championships for the Tigers in butterfly and individual medley events, and she also contributed to relays that finished in the top eight.

Stone is majoring in psychology while compiling a grade point average of 3.95. She was one of the top point-scorers for the Tigers in dual meets throughout the season, primarily excelling in the sprint freestyle events. At the NCAC Championships, Stone scored in freestyle and breaststroke events while also contributing to multiple relay teams that finished in the top eight.

Paskiet is majoring in environmental science while carrying a 3.83 grade point average. She leads the way for the Tigers in the breaststroke events, consistently touching the wall first in dual meets during the season and then turning in top-eight finishes at the NCAC Championships. Her top times in the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke both rank among the best in program history.

The Tiger women's swimming and diving team finished a perfect 9-0 in dual meets in the 2024-25 season before placing sixth in the NCAC Championships.
