SPRINGFIELD — Sophomore Dawson Scott (New Castle, Ind./New Castle) led the way as one of four double-figure scorers as the Wittenberg men's basketball team got a 77-57 win over Hiram in a North Coast Athletic Conference matchup on Wednesday night.

Stat Leaders
- Scott finished with 15 points and six rebounds off the bench.
- Junior Cameron Harrison (Eaton, Ohio/National Trail) scored 14 points to go with three rebounds.
- Senior Jeff Queen (Cincinnati, Ohio/LaSalle) tallied 12 points and four rebounds to go with a team-best three steals.
- Junior Trey Killens (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mason) also scored 12 points.
- Trent Jakacki led Hiram with 16 points.
The Game
- The Tigers opened the game on a 12-2 run courtesy of five points from Harrison, three from Queen and two each from Killens and Scott.
- Wittenberg extended the lead to 23-7 on on a triple from Queen with 10:03 left in the first half.
- Scott made a layup with one second left in the opening half to send WU into halftime up 38-21.
- The Tigers maintained their significant lead throughout the second half, extending to 64-40 on a jumper from Scott with 9:04 remaining.
- A 3-pointer from Harrison with 1:45 left put the Tigers up 77-54 en route to the victory.
- Wittenberg shot 48.2% from the floor and made eight 3-pointers on a 47.1% conversion rate.
- Hiram shot 33.9% from the floor and 20% from 3-point range.
