Tigers Drop Close Game to Fighting Scots

Wooster, OH-The Field Hockey team traveled to Wooster to take on the Fighting Scots and after a close, hard-fought game, came away with a 2-0 loss.  

Both teams had one shot in the first quarter, but the quarter ended tied at zero. In the second, Wooster found the back of the net and the Tigers had to fight to keep up. To open up the second half, both teams held the other without a single shot. In the fourth, Wooster scored once more to end the game with a score of 2-0. 

Leaders-Meike Kwaaitaal led the team in shots with two and Caitlin Archdeacon saved two of the three shots taken against her. 

Notables-Both Archdeacon and Izzy Thompson played a half in goal, each allowing one score each. Wittenberg had 4 penalty corners to Wooster's 2 and were behind in shots, 3-7. 

Next up-The Tigers will travel to Gambier, OH to take on Kenyon on Saturday, October 28th at 12:00 PM.
