Wittenberg Football Welcomes More Than 80 Recruits In Class of 2018
Head Coach Joe Fincham and his staff have recruited a large, talented class of new students set to arrive on campus in August 2014.
Springfield, Ohio — Wittenberg University Football Head Coach Joe Fincham has announced that 85 student-athletes will join the Tiger program in August 2014.
The new recruits join a team that 10-2 overall and 9-0 in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) a year ago. The Tigers won their fourth league title in the last five years and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament for a second consecutive season before falling to eventual national runner-up Mount Union.
Wittenberg is expected to return 39 letterwinners to the roster in 2014, including 12 starters. The Tigers will begin their quest for the third NCAA Division III championship in program history Sept. 6 against Butler at Edwards-Maurer Field.
