OBERLIN, Ohio—Tiger track and field competed in the 2017 NCAC Indoor Track and Field Championships over the weekend, as the men finished in fourth place with 87 points, and the women in sixth with 45.5 points. The Tigers put together a strong two days, as Anissa Dann set a school record in the weight throw at 14.21 meters, and Gabrielle Draginoff broke her own school record in the pole vault at 3.38 meters. Tyler Gittins' fourth place time in the preliminaries of the 60 meter hurdles at 8.44 seconds set a new school record for the Tigers on the men's side.

MEN'S TOP 8'S

• The 4x400 meter-relay team of Gittins, Ryan Hale, Kenneth Mayes and Cody Shutt claimed second place with a finals heat of 3:24.84.  
• Also claiming a second place finish was the 4x200 meter-relay team of Tyler Branton, Matt Entsminger, Hale, and Marcus O'Neal at 1:32.08
•  Shutt claimed a third place individual finish for the Tigers in the 400 meter-dash at 50.89 seconds.
• Right behind him was Gittins, who finished in fourth place at 50.96 seconds.
• Mayes paced the Tigers in the 800 meter-run at 1:57.29 seconds, good enough for third place.
• David Campbell finished in third place in the high jump for the Tigers after clearing 1.89 meters in the finals.
• Tay Morton finished in fourth in the high jump, also at 1.89 meters.
• The Tigers were led by Keaton Snow in the pole vault, finishing in fourth after clearing 4.00 meters.
• Jardyan Mitchem also scored in the pole vault for Wittenberg, coming in fifth place at 4.00 meters as well.
• Jonathan Seay's throw of 13.62 meters in the shot put scored the tigers fourth place points on the day.
• In the 5000 meter run, Wittenberg saw Charles Rodeheffer earn fourth place at 15:28.09.
• In the 60 meter-hurdles, Kyle Farnbauch came in fourth place at 8.52 seconds in the finals.
• D'Anthony Dorsey recorded a sixth place finish in the weight throw at 14.65 meters.
• Entsminger also recorded a seventh place finish in the 60 meter-dash for the Tigers at 7.18 seconds.
• O'Neal was not done yet, coming in seventh place in the 60 meter-hurdles at 8.61 seconds.
• The distance medley relay team of Jon Osman, Charles Samuel, Jersson Pachar and Alexander Sheppard came in seventh place with a finals time of 10:59.49.
• Dorsey concluded his day for the Tigers in the shot put, with a throw of 13.14 meters, good enough for eighth place.
• Gittins rounded out the day for the Tigers in the 60 meter-hurdles at 8.63 seconds, good enough for eighth place.

WOMEN'S TOP 8'S

• The 4x400 meter relay team of Katelyn McCohn, Tyran Barnes, Courtney Huck, and Alaina Longshore came in second place with a finals time of 4:04.03.
• Barnes finished in second place in the 400 meter-dash, as the freshman recorded a finals heat of 59.68 seconds.
• Right behind Barnes was Longshore, who came in third in the 400 meter-dash at 59.85 seconds.
• The 4x200 meter relay team of Longshore, Samantha Mitchell, McCohn and Huck claimed third place, after running a finals time of 1:48.76.
• Draginoff broke her own school record in the pole vault, clearing 3.38 meters in the finals, good enough for third place.
• Longshore scored fourth place points for Wittenberg in the 200 meter-dash at 26.78 seconds in the finals.
• Mitchell also recorded a seventh place finish in the 60-meter dash at 8.24 seconds.
• The distance medley team of Staci Harmon, Hannah Meier, Erin Hord and Tiarra Avant finished in eighth, after recording a time of 13:57.53.
• Dann's school record throw of 14.21 meters was good enough for eighth place in the weight throw.
