    CLEVELAND -- Ohio Wesleyan junior John Schlegel (Chevy Chase, MD/Gonzaga) has been named Player of the Year to highlight the 2004 All-North Coast Athletic Conference men’s lacrosse selections. Schlegel had 26 goals and 17 assists to lead all the Battling Bishops during the regular season (3.58 ppg), helping Ohio Wesleyan earn a share of its 14th NCAC championship.

    The Wittenberg men's lacrosse team ended the season with a fourth straight loss, this one coming at the hands of North Coast Athletic Conference tri-champion Wooster on Saturday. The loss dropped the Tigers to 4-12 overall after earlier completing a 2-3 NCAC campaign.

Hoffman and Royer are two of the seven former NCAC Players of the Year represented on the 18-person squad.
