Celebrating Dave MaurerNovember 01, 2008A group of friends, colleagues and former players have mobilized to form the Wittenberg Committee to Honor Dave Maurer, beloved Hall of Fame coach, director of athletics, professor and mentor to hundreds of Tigers throughout the years. After organizing the wildly successful Dave Maurer Day, which included a reunion dinner with the coach and his family, an effort continues to recognize Maurer by raising money for a scholarship fund in his honor.
