Wittenberg sophomore Macy Hubbard (Mason, Ohio/Mason) currently holds the lead in the individual standings after event one of the 2015 NCAC Golf Championships Series with a 36-hole score of 151 (77-74) last weekend at the Par-72, 5,287-yard Apple Valley Golf Club in Howard, Ohio.

Wittenberg senior John Chaney (Gates Mills, Ohio/Gilmour Academy) leads the individual standings after event one of the 2015 NCAC Golf Championships Series with a two-day total of 144 (71-73) last weekend at the Par-72, 6,946-yard Apple Valley Golf Club in Howard, Ohio.

Jane Hopkinson-Wood

NCAC — Women's Golf (April 13, 2015)

Wittenberg freshman Jane Hopkinson-Wood (Pottstown, Pa./The Hill School) won her fourth tournament title of the 2014-15 season last weekend with rounds of 74 and 73 at Ohio Wesleyan’s Laura Bump Invitational, played at the Par-71, 5,834-yard Mill Creek Golf Club in Ostrander, Ohio. Hopkinson-Wood’s efforts helped the Tigers posted back-to-back rounds of 300 and 301, which both topped the previous school record of 306, while the team score of 601 also crushed the previous program standard of 616. Both of the team record that were broken were set at the 2012 BSC Southern Shootout.

Becca Joseph

NCAC — Women's Lacrosse (April 13, 2015)

Wittenberg sophomore attacker Becca Joseph scored prolifically in the Tigers’ 2-1 week, throwing in 15 goals and eight assists, capturing both game-winning goals, including the overtime winner against Oberlin to preserve the Tigers’ 27-game regular season NCAC winning streak.

Chelsea Zang

NCAC — Softball - Pitcher (April 6, 2015)

Wittenberg freshman Chelsea Zang (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) recorded the Tigers’ third no-hitter since 2011 in a 3-0 win over Wooster and helped her own effort by collecting three hits in four plate appearances and driving in one run. She finished the week with a 2-0 record in four starts with 15 strikeouts against only three walks with an opposing batting average of just .185.

NCAC — Men's Outdoor Track & Field - Sprints/Hurdles (April 6, 2015)

Wittenberg senior Justin Yates (Dayton, Ohio/Bellbrook) won the 400-meter dash at the “Coach Rob” Invitational crossing the line in a time of 49.15 to help guide the Tigers to a first-place finish.

NCAC — Men's Lacrosse (April 6, 2015)

Wittenberg senior goalie Jay Dolan (Andover, Mass./Phillips Academy) led the Tigers to their first win over Kenyon since 2011 by making 14 saves in a 10-4 victory over the Lords on Saturday. Dolan, who finished the game with a .778 save percentage, allowed just four goals in 60 minutes of action for a 4.00 GAA.

Jane Hopkinson-Wood

NCAC — Women's Golf (March 30, 2015)

Wittenberg freshman Jane Hopkinson-Wood (Pottstown, Pa./The Hill School) had one of the best weeks of her young collegiate career, collecting medalist honors at the Joe Duncan Invitational in Tennessee with 146 strokes (74-72) and finishing second overall at the Washington (MO) Spring Invitational with a two-day total of 149 (77-72). Her 72’s at both events are the lowest 18-hole scores in program history, while the 146 in Tennessee surpassed the program’s previous 36-hole standard of 150 set by current junior Maggie Smith (Cincinnati, OH/Sycamore) in 2013.

NCAC — Women's Lacrosse (March 23, 2015)

Wittenberg senior attacker Logan Warye (Maineville, Ohio/Kings) poured in 11 goals and notched three assists as she tied the program’s all-time career points record at 217 and closed within seven goals of the career scoring record. She also grabbed team-bests of eight ground balls and 13 draw controls, chipping in with four caused turnovers for good measure to help power the Tigers to wins over Adrian, 17-6, and Kenyon, 19-9.

The Wittenberg duo of junior Allie Lawwill (Springboro, Ohio/Middletown) and freshman Jane Hopkinson-Wood (Pottstown, Pa./The Hill School) tied for sixth in the individual standings at the Taylor Made-Adidas Intercollegiate after carding identical two-day totals of 165 (86-79) on the Par-72, 5,900 yard Morgan River Course in Beaufort, South Carolina. The duo’s finish helped Wittenberg earn its fourth team title of the 2014-15 season as the Tigers finished atop the team standings with 665 strokes (335-330).

NCAC — Women's Indoor Track & Field (Feb. 16, 2015)

Wittenberg junior Brea Medlock (Galena, Ohio/Big Walnut) captured event titles at All-Ohio in the 200-meter dash and the 4x400-meter relay. She broke her own school record in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.82, which ranks 13th nationally, and tacked on a third-place finish in the 400-meter dash at 1:00.09.

NCAC — Men's Indoor Track & Field (Feb. 16, 2015)

Wittenberg junior Aaron Melsop (Westerville, Ohio/DeSales) led the Tigers at the All-Ohio Invite with his school-record long jump of 7.15 meters in the prelims to rank fifth nationally, followed by a second-place finish in the finals. He also finished seventh in the triple jump.

Katelyn Haralamos

NCAC — Women's Basketball (Feb. 2, 2015)

With her team trailing 36-21 with nine minutes remaining against Denison, Wittenberg senior Katelyn Haralamos (Maineville, Ohio/Kings) drained two three-pointers during a 14-point run over the next five minutes as the Tigers leapt back into the game. Then, with 15 seconds remaining, Haralamos hit the game-winning jumper to send the Tigers to a 41-39 victory and second place in the league standings. Haralamos finished the week, which also included a 66-55 win over Ohio Wesleyan, leading the team in scoring (29 points) and rebounds (17) while adding four steals and three assists.

NCAC — Women's Indoor Track & Field (Feb. 2, 2015)

Wittenberg earned a rousing 70-67 victory over Capital behind the 23-point performance of senior Katelyn Haralamos (Maineville, Ohio/Kings), who hit 6-of-8 field goals and 5-of-5 three-point goals, as well as 6-of-8 free throws, going along with five rebounds, two assists and two steals.

NCAC — Men's Swimming & Diving (Nov. 10, 2014)

Wittenberg senior A.J. Burt (Wyoming, Ohio/Wyoming) won three separate individual events to lead the Tigers to a pair of victories over Wilmington and Transylvania in Lexington, Kentucky, on Saturday. Burt reached the wall first in the 500 free (4:58.58), 1,000 free (10:20.14) and the 100 breast (1:00.54).

NCAC — Football, Offensive (Nov. 3, 2014)

Wittenberg junior quarterback Zack Jenkins (Frostproof, Fla./Frostproof) accounted for 401 yards and five total touchdowns in the Tigers 42-6 victory over Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday. He completed 28-of-39 pass attempts for 401 yards and two touchdowns, and also added three additional rushing touchdowns in the win. The 28 completions tied for the third-best single-game output in school history, while the 401 passing yards is tied for the fourth-best game in program history.

NCAC — Football, Defensive (Nov. 3, 2014)

Wittenberg sophomore linebacker Dustin Holmes (Springfield, Ohio/Tecumseh) led a strong defensive effort in the Tigers’ 42-6 win over Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday. He finished with a game-high 16 tackles (11 solo, 5 asst.), which included 1.5 tackles-for-loss. In addition, he halted an OWU drive in the first quarter with an interception that he returned 31 yards to the Battling Bishop 10 yard line.

Wittenberg junior Stephen Stuthers (Pittsburgh, PA/Central Catholic) led the Tigers to a 157-142 victory over league-rival Wooster on Saturday by winning the 1,000 free (10:30.35), 500 free (5:01.66) and the 200 IM (2:03.73).

Smith was just two shots off of Ithaca’s Kimberley Wong, who won the event with 151 strokes (75-76).

In a 2-0 win over Manchester, Weston provided one goal and assisted on the game-winner. Against Ohio Wesleyan, she scored two goals to finish the week with three goals, one assist and seven points.

Wittenberg forced seven DePauw turnovers in a 34-17 victory, and junior defensive tackle Josh Bannick (Enon, Ohio/Greenon) was directly responsible for two of the opposing Tigers' miscues. His hit at the DePauw 1-yard line in the fourth quarter led to Wittenberg's final seven points of the game.

Wittenberg senior forward Brian Boutin (Mount Vernon, Ohio/Mount Vernon) led the Tigers to three consecutive shutouts by more than doubling his career scoring total (previously three) with four goals on the week, including one against Mount St. Joseph and Defiance and two against Earlham. The superlative output helped Wittenberg to its best start (5-2-1) since 2008.

NCAC — Women's Golf (Sept. 22, 2014)

Wittenberg freshman Jane Hopkinson-Wood (Pottstown, Pa./The Hill School) led the Tigers in a pair of events last week. She opened the week on Monday by finishing second out of 64 golfers at the St. Mary’s O’Brien Invitational with a 36-hole score of 153 (73-80). Hopkinson-Wood then finished in a three-way tie for first over the weekend at the DePauw Small College Classic after accumulating 156 strokes (76-80). The Tigers won the O’Brien Invitational with a team score of 634 (307-327) and finished third at the DPU Small College Classic with 647 strokes (323-324).

NCAC — Volleyball (Sept. 15, 2014)

Wittenberg junior Kara Seidenstricker (London, Ohio/Jonathan Alder) led the ninth-ranked Tigers to a straight-set upset win over defending national champion and top-ranked Calvin as part of a 3-1 weekend at their own Fall Classic in Springfield. Seidenstricker smashed nine kills and recorded a .381 hitting percentage against Calvin and also added 18 kills in a 3-1 win over Ohio Northern. In total, she collected 64 kills (4.0/set), 49 digs, nine blocks (2 solo, 7 asst.) and seven service aces in 16 total sets at the Wittenberg Fall Classic.

Wittenberg sophomore Sam Geise (Springboro, Ohio/Springboro) finished second out of 80 competitors at the Rosecrans-Maurer Invitational after shooting back-to-back rounds of 71 on the Par-72 course for a 36-hole score of 142. Geise entered the tournament as an individual competitor.

Wittenberg freshman Jane Hopkinson-Wood (Pottstown, Pa./The Hill School) had a sensational collegiate debut as she won the Denison Fall Invitational by six strokes with a two-day total of 151 (78-73). She tied the school record of 73 in the second round and posted the second-best two-round total in program history. The Tigers also cruised to the team title with a 21-stroke victory after carding a two-day total of 637 (320-317).

NCAC — Men's Golf (Sept. 8, 2014)

Wittenberg senior Alex Andrews (Kirtland, Ohio/Gilmour Academy) guided the Tigers to the team title at the Transylvania Fall Invitational after finishing second overall in the individual standings with a 36-hole score of 143 (70-73). Wittenberg bested Centre by five strokes for the team title with a two-day total of 585 (292-293).
