Alex Andrews

NCAC — Men's Golf (April 29, 2013)

Wittenberg sophomore Alex Andrews (Kirtland, OH/Gilmour Acad.) led the individual standings after event one of the 2013 NCAC Golf Championship Series with a two-day total of 138 (72-66). Andrews' 66 on Sunday ties the school record set by Bleu George in 2009, while the 138 is his career-best 36-hole score.

Sam Geise

Kevin Tolle

NCAC — Baseball (Pitcher - April 29, 2013)

Wittenberg senior Kevin Tolle (Englewood, OH/Northmont) pitched a complete-game shutout in the Tigers’ 4-0 victory over DePauw, allowing just five hits and striking out five. Tolle then went on to collect the save in Sunday’s 5-4 victory over DPU that clinched the series win for Wittenberg.

Sam Geise

NCAC — Men's Golf (April 22, 2013)

Wittenberg freshman Sam Geise (Springboro, OH/Springboro) led the Tigers to the team championship at Wooster’s Nye Intercollegiate after earning co-medalist honors with teammate Ben Hogenkamp (Minster, OH/Minster) with a two-day total of 150 (76-74). Wittenberg finished the event with 309 total strokes (308-301) to top the team leaderboard.

Rachel Ross

Rachel Ross

NCAC — Softball (Pitcher - April 22, 2013)

Wittenberg junior Rachel Ross (Westerville, Ohio/South) earned all four of the Tigers’ wins in the circle. She pitched three complete games and limited opponents to seven earned runs in 27.1 innings while striking out 10 and walking only four. Ross won both games against DePauw before holding Denison to two hits and one unearned run the next day.

Zach Finke

Zach Finke

NCAC — Baseball (Pitcher - April 22, 2013)

Wittenberg senior Zach Finke (Maineville, Ohio/St. Xavier) became just the fifth known Tiger pitcher to record a no-hitter, and first since 1998, by shutting down Ohio Wesleyan, 6-0, on Sunday. Finke struck out four batters and walked just two en route to the historic feat.

Logan Warye

NCAC — Women's Lacrosse (April 15, 2013)

Wittenberg sophomore midfielder Logan Warye (Maineville, OH/Kings) led the Tigers to three straight wins this week with 12 goals and five assists, adding a team-best 11 ground balls and eight draw controls to the mix. Her six-goal effort against rival Wooster ties for the third-best single-game in program history, and her eight-point total represents the team’s fourth-best mark ever.

Graham Wolff

Graham Wolff

NCAC — Baseball (April 1, 2013)

Wittenberg senior Graham Wolff (Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest) keyed a 4-2 win in the first game of a 3-1 series victory against Wabash with a two-run, go-ahead double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Tigers ahead for good. Wolff finished the series with a .365 batting average and a .813 slugging percentage after posting one homer, one triple, two doubles, eight RBI and four runs scored.

David Wetterich

David Wetterich

NCAC — Men's Golf (March 25, 2013)

Wittenberg junior David Wetterich (Cincinnati, Ohio/LaSalle) guided the Tigers to a third-place tie at The West Cup in Jurupa Valley, California, after finishing the event in a tie for 14th in the individual standings with a 54-hole total of 219 (74-74-71). The Tigers finished the two-day event with 886 strokes (297-290-299).

Carolyn Wong

NCAC — Women's Golf (March 25, 2013)

Wittenberg sophomore Carolyn Wong (Naperville, IL/Central) led the Tigers to the team title at the weather-shortened Mount Union Spring Invitational by claiming medalist honors with a final score of 78. The Tigers captured the overall event title after carding an 18-hole team total of 326.

Tyler Hutchinson

NCAC — Baseball (March 25, 2013)

Wittenberg junior Tyler Hutchinson (Lebanon, OH/Cincinnati Moeller) powered the Tigers to a doubleheader sweep of Mount Union on Saturday. The junior went 2-for-4 in the 7-6 game one victory over the Purple Raiders, including a home run and the game-winning walk-off RBI double in the bottom of the seventh, and went 1-for-1 with a home run in the bottom of the fourth inning in the 4-2 game two victory. After totalling two homers and two doubles on the day, Hutchinson posted a 2.000 slugging percentage and a .714 OBP.

Andrew Fuss

NCAC — Men's Lacrosse (March 18, 2013)

Wittenberg freshman Andrew Fuss (New Albany, Ohio/Gahanna Lincoln) lifted the Tigers to a 9-7 comeback win against Saint Vincent last week, scoring the game-winning goal in a fourth quarter rally, pushing the team to a 4-1 overall record heading into the start of conference action next week. In all, Fuss registered four goals and one assist for five points in the win.

Jack Uecker

NCAC — Men's Golf (March 18, 2013)

Wittenberg junior Jack Uecker (Akron, OH/St. Vincent-St. Mary) was the individual medalist with an 18-hole total of 75 strokes to lead the Tigers to the team championship at The Members Invitational with 309 strokes. Wittenberg hosted the three team event that was hosted at the Golf Club at Indigo Run in Hilton Head, SC, on March 7th.

Zach Finke

NCAC — Baseball (Pitcher - March 11, 2013)

Wittenberg senior Zach Finke (Maineville, Ohio/St. Xavier) propelled the Tigers to a 6-1 record at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational by posting a sterling 2-0 record in two complete-game shutout performances. Finke struck out seven and allowed just three hits to earn a 1-0 victory over WPI, and kept Union scoreless after striking out two and allowing four hits in 7.0 innings and just 54 total pitches.

NCAC — Men's Tennis (March 11, 2013)

Wittenberg sophomore Ian Streicker (South Lebanon, Ohio/Loveland) led the way for the Tigers’ 5-1 spring break in Hilton Head, SC. The sophomore posted a 4-1 record at No. 1 singles and a 4-0 record with junior doubles partner Joe Marra (Great Falls, Mont./Great Falls).

Kaitie Harrison

Kaitie Harrison

NCAC — Softball (March 11, 2013)

Wittenberg junior Kaitie Harrison (Springfield, Ohio/Kenton Ridge) led the Tigers to an 8-1 record, the team’s best start ever, over Spring Break at the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic with a .407 batting average and 10 RBIs. That included a walk-off single against Newbury on Wednesday, helping the Tigers right the ship after their only loss of the week.

Katie Bondy

NCAC — Women's Lacrosse (Feb. 25, 2013)

Wittenberg senior goalkeeper Katie Bondy (Westerville, Ohio/South) led the Tigers to a 12-4 season-opening win over Centre on Saturday. Bondy stopped 12 Colonel shots and allowed just four goals to help lift the Tigers to victory over a team that posted a 13-5 record in 2012.

NCAC — Women's Indoor Track & Field (Feb. 4, 2013)

Wittenberg freshman Brea Medlock (Galena, Ohio/Big Walnut) picked up two individual victories at the Fighting Scot Invitational including the 400-meter dash (1:01.423) and the 200-meter dash (27.02).

Justin Yates

NCAC — Men's Indoor Track & Field (Feb. 4, 2013)

Wittenberg sophomore Justin Yates (Dayton, Ohio/Bellbrook) claimed the 400-meter title in a time of 50.08 to help guide the Tigers to its first indoor track event title since 1997.

Molly Gustafson

NCAC — Women's Swimming and Diving (Feb. 4, 2013)

Wittenberg junior Molly Gustafson (West Hartford, Conn./Conard) registered the best swim by an NCAC women’s student-athlete this weekend as she touched first in the 200 breast against Kenyon with a time of 2:27.54. She also finished second in the 100 breast and swam a leg on the third-place 200 medley relay.

AJ Burt

NCAC — Men's Swimming and Diving (Jan. 21, 2013)

Wittenberg sophomore A.J. Burt (Wyoming, Ohio/Wyoming) picked up four total victories to lead the Tigers to a 151-110 win over Centre. He opened the meet as a member of the winning 200 medley relay (1:40.55), and followed with individual event wins in the 100 breast (59.75), 500 free (4:57.10) and the 1000 free (10:27.74).

Scott Masin

NCAC — Men's Basketball (Jan. 14, 2013)

Wittenberg junior post Scott Masin (New Carlisle, Ohio/Bethel) led the Tigers to a 3-0 week against conference foes by scoring 61 points (20.3 ppg) and pulling down 32 rebounds (10.7 rpg), while shooting 79 percent (22-of-28) from the field. After posting double-doubles against Oberlin and Kenyon, Masin now ranks 13th in the country with seven double-doubles and 62nd in the nation in field goal percentage at .578 (85-of-147).

Enri Small

d3hoops.com — Women's Team of the Week (Jan. 14, 2013)

Wittenberg sophomore guard Enri Small (Columbus, Ohio/Columbus School For Girls) doubled her personal best with 14 rebounds against Hiram, tied a personal best with four assists, and tied her career high with 23 points against Allegheny on back-to-back nights. She averaged 21,5 points, 10.5 rebounds and 6.5 steals in the 2-0 week.

Enri Small

NCAC — Women's Basketball (Jan. 7, 2013)

Wittenberg sophomore guard Enri Small (Columbus, Ohio/Columbus School For Girls) put together the first double-double of the Tigers’ season and her own career against Hiram on Friday while doubling
her personal best in rebounds with 14 and tying her high water mark for assists with four. She also totaled seven steals, good for the third-best single game total in team history. Then, 21 hours later, Small
matched another career high with 23 points against Allegheny, eight coming all in a row to erase a 13-12 deficit and put Wittenberg up 20-13 in the first half, building a lead the Tigers never lost.

Katelyn Haralamos

NCAC — Women's Basketball (Jan. 2, 2013)

Sophomore wing Katelyn Haralamos (Maineville, Ohio/Kings) led Wittenberg to one of the biggest upsets in Division III this season as the Tigers knocked off No. 2 Mt. Union, 61-60, in the championship game of the Charles B. Zimmerman Memorial Classic. Haralamos was named the tournament MVP after scoring 21 points on 9-of-13 shooting to go along with six rebounds in the monumental victory over Mt. Union in the championship contest.

Sophomore wing Katelyn Haralamos (Maineville, Ohio/Kings) led Wittenberg to one of the biggest upsets in Division III this season as the Tigers knocked off No. 2 Mt. Victor Banjo

NCAC — Football (Nov. 12, 2012)

Wittenberg junior defensive back Victor Banjo (Sugarland, Texas/Stephen F. Austin) helped carry the Tigers to a share of their 11th NCAC football title all-time after racking up seven tackles (3 solo, 4 asst.), two pass breakups and one forced fumble in the 47-20 road victory over Oberlin on Saturday (11/10). The league title marks the squads’ third in the last four seasons and ninth under the direction of head coach Joe Fincham.

Kara Seidenstricker

NCAC — Volleyball (Oct. 22, 2012)

Wittenberg freshman Kara Seidenstricker (London, Ohio/Jonathan Alder) led the Tigers to a perfect weekend and their seventh consecutive NCAC Championship with a pair of straight-set victories over Hiram and Allegheny.  Seidenstricker totaled 27 kills and a .473 attack percentage on the week to go along with 33 digs, four service aces and three total blocks (1 solo, 2 asst.).

Alex Andrews

NCAC — Men's Golf (Oct. 22, 2012)

Wittenberg sophomore Alex Andrews (Kirtland, OH/Gilmour Academy) led the Tigers at the Golfweek Division III Fall Invitational at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort in Sandestin, Florida. Andrews tied for third place in the individual standings with solid scores of 75 and 72 in rounds one and two, respectively, before blistering the course with a four under-par 67 in the final round to post a 54-hole total of 214. His 67 was the second-best single round in school history, while his combined scores from round two (72) and three (67) represent the third-best two-round score in program history at 138.

Kayla Murphy

NCAC — Women's Soccer (Oct. 15, 2012)

Wittenberg junior forward Kayla Murphy (Dayton, OH/Stebbins) scored the game-winning goal in a 2-0 win over Ohio Wesleyan Saturday, pushing the Tigers to 4-0-0 in the NCAC with a sharp one-touch volley off of a corner kick in the 57th minute. The Tigers have now won seven of their last eight contests.

Rachel Steiner

NCAC — Women's Golf (Oct. 15, 2012)

Wittenberg sophomore Rachel Steiner (Hamilton, Ohio/Lakota West) helped the Tigers earn the team championship at their own Pat Clouse Invitational after earning individual champion medalist honors with a two-day total of 155 (77-78). The DPU Tigers held a five-stroke advantage in the team standings after round one with 311 strokes, but Wittenberg was able to better manage poor weather conditions on the final day to capture the team championship with a 36-hole total of 636 (316-320).

NCAC — Men's Golf (Oct. 9, 2012)

Wittenberg sophomore Alex Andrews (Kirtland, Ohio/Gilmour Academy) was impressive in a pair of marquee events last week as he was the championship medalist at OWU's Gordin Collegiate Classic with a 54-hole score of 212 (71-69-72) and finished in a tie for third at the Wittenberg Rosencrans Maurer Invitational with a two-day total of 145 (72-73).

Jon Daniels

NCAC — Football (Defensive - Sept. 24, 2012)

Wittenberg senior defensive end Jon Daniels (Springfield, OH/South) helped trigger the Tigers’ 17-7 league victory over Wooster on Saturday. Daniels, who totaled four tackles in the contest, recovered two fumbles in the game, including a game-changing forced fumble in the third quarter at the Fighting Scots' five-yard line to set up Wittenberg’s go-ahead touchdown.

Allie Lawwill

NCAC — Women's Golf (Sept. 17, 2012)

Wittenberg freshman Allie Lawwill (Springboro, Ohio/Middletown) helped the Tigers to a third-place finish at the Illinois Wesleyan Fall Classic after finishing seventh individually with a two-day total of 153 (74-79). The Tigers opened the tournament with a 309, which is tied for the second-best 18-hole round in school history, and carded a 328 on day two to finish with 637 total strokes. In addition, Lawwill’s 74 in the opening round as well as her 153 two-day total both rank second in program history.

John Chaney

NCAC — Men's Golf (Sept. 17, 2012)

Wittenberg sophomore John Chaney (Shaker Heights, Ohio/Gilmour Academy), a transfer from Eastern Michigan, made his debut on the Tigers golf squad by carding a two-day total of 148 (73-75) to finish second overall and first among NCAC competitors at the Denison Fall Classic at Granville Golf Course in Ohio. Chaney’s performance helped lead Wittenberg to the team title at the event with a 36-hole total of 601 (303-298).

Christina Gilene

NCAC — Volleyball (Sept. 10, 2012)

Wittenberg senior Christina Gilene (Milford, Ohio/McNicholas) was named the Juniata College Asics Invitational Most Valuable Player for her contributions to the Tigers’ weekend, which included an upset of top-ranked Christopher Newport in a re-match of the 2011 National Championship match. Gilene, who also helped guide the Tigers in wins over No. 9 Juniata and No. 16 Puget Sound, logged 71 digs (5.46/set) and only three reception errors in 91 chances (.967).

Ben Hogenkamp

NCAC — Men's Golf (Sept. 10, 2012)

Wittenberg junior Ben Hogenkamp (Minster, OH/Minster)
earned medalist honors at the Transylvania Fall Invitational after carding a two-day total of 139 (70-69). His 69 in the final round is just the 17th sub-70 round in program history, while his 36-hole score of 139 is tied for third all-time at Wittenberg.

Reed Florence

NCAC — Football (Offensive - Sept. 4, 2012)

Wittenberg junior quarterback Reed Florence (South Charleston, Ohio/Southeastern) triggered the Tigers’ 44-17 victory over Capital on Saturday after having a hand in four total touchdowns. In his first career start under center, Florence completed 17-of-30 pass attempts and two scores through the air, and also added an additional two rushing scores in the 27-point triumph.
