Why Wittenberg?
My friend was going on a visit here and to participate in a volleyball camp and asked at the last minute if I wanted to join. I went and had such a great time and truly felt welcome by everyone I had met. I went on more visits throughout the year to different schools, and I was always disappointed in them and didn't know why until I realized I was comparing every other school to Witt! That's how I knew I was meant to be here and the people and volleyball team just enforced my decision.
2019
Hiestand earned All-North Coast Athletic Conference First Team Honors... appearing in 26 matches with 305 kills for the Red and White... Hiestand joined the Tiger top 10 for kills in a single match with 22 on the road at John Carroll (10/5/19).
2018
Appeared in 21 matches for the Red & White... Tallied 163 kills on 472 attack attempts, adding 30 blocks.
High School
Played under coach Alyssa Thewes...NCL first team 2014-2017...District IV first team 2014-2017...NCL MVP 2016-2017...All-Ohio third team in 2017...Holds school record for most kills in a game, kills in a season, career kills, and solo blocks.
