Wittenberg Upends Juniata Again

ST. LOUIS, MO. - The Tigers improved to 9-0 on the season and 2-0 in the Teri Clemens Invitational at Washington University by beating nationally ranked Juniata College for the second time already this young season. Wittenberg won three straight games - 30-22, 35-33, 30-27 - to gain the victory.

Wittenberg had three players rack up 10 kills or more in the match. Freshman Emily Bell stepped up big for the Tigers, leading the team with 14 kills, while seniors Monica McDonald and Kristin Fox chipped in with 11 and 10 respectively. Playing from the libero position, Emilie Schmid contributed 21 digs and two aces.

The Tigers are back in action today at 5 p.m. against Washington University, the preseason No. 1 team in the nation.
