SPRINGFIELD — Wittenberg junior Taylor Weiss (Powell, Ohio/Olentangy Liberty) was named the North Coast Athletic Conference Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week for the week of April 15-21.

This marks Weiss' first career NCAC Athlete of the Week accolade. It comes after she finished second to an NCAA Division I competitor in the high jump at the Otterbein Twilight Meet on Friday with a mark of 1.70 meters and placed second in the triple jump at the Duane Gomez Invitational at Kenyon on Saturday with a mark of 10.18 meters.

Her mark in the high jump currently ranks first in the conference and second nationally.

A 2023 All-NCAC performer in the outdoor high jump, Weiss capped her 2024 indoor season with an All-NCAC accolade in the high jump en route to qualifying for the NCAA Championships in the event.

The Tigers return to action on Friday at the Big Red Invitational at Denison, which begins at 12:30 p.m.
