Tigers Rack Up Points At Cedarville Invite

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Wittenberg's track and field teams continued to work themselves into mid-season form with a pair of second-place team finishes in the Cedarville Invitational. The field and sprint teams carried big points while improving on their early season marks in preparation for the championships portion of the season.

Senior Mark King (Indianapolis, Ind./Ben Davis) took runner-up honors in the 400 dash with a season-best time of 51.33. Meanwhile, a pair of Tiger throwers recorded good marks in their respective events as sophomore Nic Radel (Columbus, Ohio/Grandview Hts.) tossed the discus 136'3" while Mat Guida (LaGrange, Ky./Oldham County) spun the hammer 144'3".

On the women's side, freshman Evianne van de Zande (Zierikzee, The Netherlands) cleared 4'11" in the high jump to take a second-place finish. Classmate Kari Domiano (Dublin, Ohio/Jerome) claimed a pair of wins in the 100 and 200 dashes, winning the latter in 27.78.

Wittenberg travels to Greencastle, Ind. this upcoming Saturday, April 4 to take part in the DePauw Invitational.
