Women’s Golf Paces Field in Pennsylvania

Meadville, PA – The Wittenberg Tiger women's golf team competed in the Guy & Jeanne Kuhn Memorial Invitational and came away tied for first as a team, 31 strokes ahead of the next closest team.

Meadville, PA – The Wittenberg Tiger women's golf team competed in the Guy & Jeanne Kuhn Memorial Invitational and came away tied for first as a team, 31 strokes ahead of the next closest team. 

The top two finishing Tigers were Izzy Selbywho shot a 74 both rounds to finish at 148 (+6), and Hillary Humbaugh, who shot a first round 73 and a 75 in the second to also finish six over par at 148. 

As a team, the Tigers performed well both days, finishing with a first round 299 (+15) and carding a second round 303 (+19) to finish with a total of 602 (+34) for the tournament. 

Halley McNair finished the weekend in 6th, carding a 74 first round and 76 second round for a total of 150 (+8). 

Ellen Frame finished within the top 15, tied for 11th, carding a 78 in both rounds to come away with a 156 (+14). 

Rounding out the field for the Tigers was Anna Longbrake, who finished 37th out of more than 50 competitors, shooting a 97 in the first round and improving to a 90 in her second round to finish with a 187. 

 

Next Up-The Tigers will travel to Wooster, OH to compete in the Eva Shorb Weiskopf Memorial Invitational, which will take place on Sunday, October 1st and Monday, October 2nd.
