Frame Takes Top Spot At Wittenberg Fall Classic

Springfield, OH – The Wittenberg men's and women's hosted the Wittenberg Fall Classic from the Springfield Country Club on Sunday and Monday afternoon. The Tiger men's squad secured the top spot, with the first-place finish out of 10 teams amongst the field. The Wittenberg women's team saw Ellen Frame grab the individual medalist honors, as the Tiger women's squad placed fourth amongst five teams.

Leading the way for the men's team was Ryan Miller, carding a 36-hole score of 142 with scores of 75 and 67, earning a T2 finish at +2. Matthew Mattioli earned a top-five finish amongst the field of 54 competitors, completing rounds of 71 and 73 for a two-day score of 144 (+3). Jumping up three spots on the second day of competition, Evan DiSanto carded rounds of 75 and 71 for a 36-hole total of 146 (+6). Austin Georger cracked the top 10 with a seventh-place finish, competing as an individual for the Tigers, posting rounds of 73 and 74 for a two-day score of 147 (+4). Will Birkholz saw improvement on day two, capturing a T9 finish, posting rounds of 77 and 73 for a 150 (+10) final tally. Nick Pidgeon and JF Aber shared a T12 finish with a 36-hole score of 153 (+13).

Frame was the wire-to-wire leader during the two day event, posting back-to-back scores of 81 for a 36-hole total of 162 (+16). Morgan Pagel posted a top 20 finish with a score of 182 (+36) carding scores of 95 and 87 for a T19 finish. Mazie Reece and Elizabeth Uhl earned T24 spots, with 36-hole scores of 187, each posting rounds of 95 and 92.
