Tigers Take Fifth at Washington University-St. Louis Invite

ST. LOUIS, Missouri—Wittenberg women's golf nabbed a fifth place finish in their final tournament before the first series of NCAC Championship play. In the 15 team field at the Golf Club at Forest Park, many of the nation's top teams traveled to St. Louis to square off in the two-day event.

 

Wittenberg claimed fifth place at a combined 630 (+70) behind Carleton College (+67), DePauw Univeristy (+65), Gustavus Adolphus (+64) and eventual winner, Rhodes College (+37).

 

Jane Hopkinson-Wood led the pack for the Tigers, as the junior carded rounds of 74 and 77 for a 151 (+11), good enough for eight place overall.  

 

Macy Hubbard also scored in the top twenty for Wittenberg, as the senior recorded rounds of 74 and 81 for a combined 155 (+15).

 

The Tigers now await the first series of the NCAC Championship on April 22.
