LEXINGTON, Virginia- Wittenberg University carded a 311-309—620 (+44) to take the team title at the General's Invitational held at the Lexington Golf & Country Club on Monday and Tuesday.
Bridgewater's Christina Herbert was the individual medalist, carding a 72-74—146 (+2) to finish one stroke ahead of Jane Hopkinson-Wood. Wood shot 72-75—147 (+3).
Wittenberg junior Brianna Yee placed fifth overall with a score of 75-77—152 (+8), Senior standout Macy Hubbard placed eighth out of the 72 golfers in the event with a +10 score of 78-76—154.
Sophomore Chloe Bradburn placed 24th in the event, with scores of 86-81—167 (+23).
Wittenberg returns to action October 9-11 at the Golfweek Division III Fall Invitational. The Invitational will be played at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort in Destin, Florida.
