Megan Mummey joined the coaching staff for Wittenberg women's basketball team in August 2017 after spending six seasons coaching the women's varsity program at Sidney High School.

At the helm of the Sidney women's varsity program, Mummey accumulated a 95-47 record with an undefeated 2015-16 regular season (22-0) before finishing 24-1. Mummey coached two Great Western Ohio Conference North Championship teams, earning two GWOC North Coach of the Year awards. The success at Sidney in six short years led to three Southwest District 9 Coach of the Year awards for Mummey.

Before her time patrolling the sidelines, Mummey was a standout for Urbana University, earning NAIA Academic All-American honors in her final season with the Knights.

Mummey was given her first opportunity in coaching as an assistant at Edison Community College from 2008-11. During her time in Piqua, Mummey helped with everything from recruiting, daily practice and game plans, along with leading and facilitating conditioning and individual workouts.

Mummey graduated from Urbana in May 2008 with a bachelor of science degree in Exercise Science, before earning her master's in Middle Childhood Education in 2011.
