Tiger Track & Field Teams Perform Well At Mount Union

JJ Weisenberger was among a host of Tigers to record strong finishes at Mount Union's Toy Drive Invitational.

Alliance, Ohio - The Wittenberg men's and women's track & field teams continued their early season success at Mount Union's Toy Drive Invitational with a host of outstanding individual performances.

For the second straight week, no team scores were recorded in the meet. Just like last week, Tiger team members posted plenty of strong finishes, with a few marks

For Wittenberg's women:

  • Meghan Frazier (Alliance, Ohio/Alliance) finished second in the 200 meters with a time of 25.70. That time ranks sixth nationally. She also won the 60 meters in a time of 7.83
  • Frazier was among four Tigers that made the 60-meter dash final. Lindsey Magoteaux (Sidney, Ohio/Lehman Catholic) finished third, Zora Shakan (Pickerington, Ohio/Pickerington Central) placed seventh, and Haleigh Willison (Crooksville, Ohio/Crooksville) took eighth. Willison also placed third in the 200 meters.
  • Haley Troy (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) finished third in the 60-meter hurdles and Reese Neumeyer (Whitehouse, Ohio/Anthony Wayne) finished fourth
  • Tymeerah De'Armond (Springfield, Ohio/Springfield) won the 500m dash
  • Aidan Orth (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson) finished fifth in the weight throw
  • Tiffany Hix (Prospect, Ohio/Elgin) and Story Laing (Granville, Ohio/Granville) finished third and fourth, respectively, in the pole vault
  • Julissa Williams (Lorain, Ohio/Lorain) shared the high jump crown with Taylor Weiss (Powell, Ohio/Olentangy Liberty)

For Wittenberg's men:

  • Cameron Elliott (Springfield, Ohio/Springfield) finished second in the 400 meters with an indoor personal-best time of 49.69, which ranks first in the conference and 11th nationally
  • Grayson Ring (Tipp City, Ohio/Tippecanoe) finished third in the high jump with a mark of 1.97, which ranks 14th nationally and first  in the conference
  • Mason Duncan (Cardington, Ohio/Highland) finished fifth in the 500 meters
  • Jeremy Watson (Sugar Grove, Ohio/Berne Union) took fourth and Kane Cissell placed fifth in the pole vault
  • JJ Weisenberger (Collins, Ohio/Western Reserve) finished second in the long jump
