Tigers Take On Snow Globe Invitational

Westerville, OH- The men and women travelled to Otterbein University for the Snow Globe Invitational for their first meet of the decade and 2019-20 indoor season. The Tigers had three first place finishes on the day. three second place finishes and three third place finishes.

The Women: Alexis Gray took home first place in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:00.53, beating out 15 competitors. Tiffany Moss picked up a third place finish in the 60 meter hurdles, finishing at 10.01. Erika Bournival finished fifth in the 1 mile with a time of 5:42.29. The women finished second and a time of 1:54.93 in the 4x200 meter relay with a team made up of Moss, Ryelee Clary, Seraye Bray, and Preslee Rolf. Rolf also picked up a third place finish in pole vault, clearing 2.80m.

The Men: Junior, Austyn Albanese placed second for the Tigers in the 500 meter dash with a time of 1:09.15. A relay team composed of sophomore Josh Finkeldey, senior Aaron Rutherford, freshmen Jalen Benjamin and Djim Rene finished first in the 4x200 meter relay with a time of 1:39.09. Wittenberg picked up another first place finish with David HaakeAustyn AlbaneseDeven Ramsey and Ian Mcandlish finishing at 3:30.16 in the 4x400 meter relay. Sophomore, Paul Varnadoe grabbed a third first place finish for the men going 1.85m in the high jump, while senior Jaycee Perry tied for second with a height of 1.80m. Senior, Johnathan Seay grabbed a fourth place finish for Wittenberg in the shot put with a distance of 12.70m and fifth in the weight throw at 14.31m.

Up Next: The Tigers will return home for the Coach Rob meet in The Steemer on Saturday, January 25th. Throws will begin at 11:00am, field events will start at 12:00 PM, and running will go off at 1:30 PM.
