GRANVILLE, Ohio – Wittenberg Track & Field programs took their talents to Denison on Friday for the Last Chance Meet before the upcoming conference championships. Unfortunately, the meet was rained out following the 400 meter hurdles, and remained unscored as a result. However, Wittenberg still showed off well against conference and Division I teams.

WOMEN'S TOP 8'S

• Freshman Tyra Barnes once again dominated the 100 meter dash, placing first with a time of 12.73 seconds. Senior Alaina Longshore clocked in at 13.50 seconds for eighth.
• Freshman Gabrielle Draginoff vaulted into fourth place with a height of 3.20 meters. Teammate Katelyn McCohn took eighth in pole vault, reaching a height of 2.75 meters.
• Anissa Dann claimed the crown in hammer throw, tossing up a long 43.39 meters for first place. Ashley Highfield took sixth, throwing for 26.72 meters.
• Senior Frankie Bowsher led Wittenberg in javelin, throwing 30.65 meters for second place overall. Draginoff took fourth with her toss of 28.03 meters. Dann rounded out the top Tigers in eighth with her throw of 23.90 meters.

MEN'S TOP 8'S

• The sophomore duo of Jalen Fultz and Matt Entsminger took fifth and sixth respectively in the 100 meter dash, crossing the line in a quick finish at 11.58 and 11.60 seconds.
• Freshman Tyler Branton claimed fifth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 52.30 seconds.
• Jersson Pachar raced 800 meters to a seventh place finish, clocking in at 2:04.98.
• Tyler Gittins topped the Tigers in the 110 meter hurdles with his time of 15.81 seconds for second overall. Kyle Farnbauch and Marcus O'Neal crossed the line on Gittins heels, crossing the line at 15.85 and 15.88 seconds respectively for third and fourth. Rounding out for Wittenberg was Garrin Bachinski, placing seventh with a time of 17.16 seconds.
• O'Neal took second in the 400 meter hurdles as well, finishing at 57.30 seconds. Bachinski placed fourth and finished at 59.82 seconds.
• Tay Morton placed second in high jump for the Tigers, getting over the bar at a height of 1.83 meters.
• Jardyan Mitchem once again dominated pole vault, finishing at a height of 4.25 meters for first.
• D'Anthony Dorsey placed second in shot put, tossing for 13.43 meters. Teammate Jonathan Seay finished up in seventh with his throw of 12.13 meter.
• Curtis Quimby took fourth in discus, throwing for 39.55 meters.
• The combo of Dorsey and Seay also took charge in hammer throw, placing fourth and eighth respectively with their throws of 42.44 and 35.92 meters.

The Tigers will travel to DePauw University this coming weekend, who will be hosting the 2017 North Coast Athletic Conference Track & Field Championships
