OBERLIN, Ohio — The Wittenberg men's and women's indoor track and field teams placed seventh and fifth at the North Coast Athletic Conference Indoor Championships, respectively, at the event held at Oberlin College March 4-5.

The women received an NCAC individual championship from freshman Alea Taylor (Springfield, Ohio/Springfield) in the 55-meter dash on a time of 7.40, just one-tenth of a second off the NCAA provisional qualifying time. Taylor went on to two more all-conference medals with third place in both the long jump and triple jump.

Junior Kari Domiano (Dublin, Ohio/Jerome) was the Tigers' other all-conference honoree with a second-place finish in the 200-meter dash after crossing the line in 26.69 seconds. She also finished fourth in the 55-meter dash.

Sophomore Shawnquaya Johnson (Uhrichsville, Ohio/Claymont) placed seventh in the 400-meter dash, and junior Samantha Iden (Pickerington, Ohio/North) turned in a sixth-place time in the 800-meter run.
