Tigers Run Well At Otterbein Invitational

WESTERVILLE, Ohio — The Wittenberg Tigers collected a series of fine finishes against top-quality competition at the Otterbein Invitational. The men had six point-scorers who helped the Tigers finish sixth in the seven-team field, while the women featured nine point-scorers en route to a fifth-place finish out of eight teams.

The Tigers' lone individual winner was junior Jordan Stafford (Springfield, Ohio/Greenon) in the 200 meters. She was followed closely by junior Kari Domiano (Dublin, Ohio/Jerome), who placed second.

Three Tigers' placed third individually, with freshman Alea Taylor (Springfield, Ohio/Springfield) in the 55 meters, juniorSamantha Iden (Pickerington, Ohio/North) and sophomorePaige Lloyd (Medina, Ohio/Cloverleaf) in the pole vault. Domiano added a fourth-place finish in the 55 meters, juniorLizzy Hauser (Ottawa Lake, Mich./Whiteford) contributed a sixth in the high jump, and sophomore Shawnquaya Johnson (Uhrichsville, Ohio/Claymont) rounded things out with a sixth in the 400 meters and eighth in the 55 meters.

On the men's side, the top finishes were supplied by junior Ryan Hagen (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) in the 800 meters and junior Justen Cox (Hilliard, Ohio/Davidson) in the pole vault. Both placed second.

Freshman Chris Frierson (Cedar Hill, Texas/DeSoto) added a third in the 400 meters and sixth in the 200 meters, while junior Tim Huesing (Mason, Ohio/Mason) placed seventh in the 800 meters and freshman C.J. Minnifield (Dayton, Ohio/Ponitz) rounded things out by placing eighth in the 55 meters.
