Laszlo Steps Down as Head Golf Coach

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Wittenberg University Head Golf Coach Colin Laszlo '19 will be stepping away from the institution, effective June 10, 2022, to pursue other golf-related career opportunities, Vice President and Director of Athletics & Recreation Brian Agler '80 announced today, June 1, 2022.

Laszlo has been part of the Tiger golf family since 2015, competing as a player from 2015-19, which included playing on the national championship team in 2017. He was then hired in the summer of 2019 as the graduate assistant coach for Wittenberg's golf programs, before being named the interim head men's and women's golf coach on July 13, 2020. Laszlo served in this capacity for the Tiger squad during the 2020 season before earning the head coaching title in May 2021.

A national search will begin immediately to identify the next leader of the Wittenberg University men's and women's golf programs. During the transition period, any inquiries regarding Wittenberg golf can be sent to Senior Associate Athletics Director Bret Billhardt at billhardtb@wittenberg.edu.
