GRANVILLE, Ohio - The Wittenberg Tigers slipped a couple of notches on Day 2 of Denison's Ted Barclay Invitational to finish seventh.

For the second straight tournament, the Tigers would have finished better if not for a disqualification of No. 1 player, junior Garrett Smith (Worthington, Ohio/Christian), who was headed for a top 10 finish after a 74 on Day 1. Junior Chad Summe (Cincinnati, Ohio/LaSalle) picked up some of the slack, carding a two-day total of 152 to finish 16th.

He was followed by freshman Duncan Littlefield (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan), who posted a collegiate-best 73 on Day 2 to finish 24th with a 154 in the competition. He was followed by junior Jeff Hochstetler (Plain City, Ohio/Jonathan Alder) in 53rd and sophomore Steve Nevius (Springfield, Ohio/Catholic Central) in 63rd.
