    After more than 39 minutes of intense, back-and-forth action, the NCAA Division III Tournament clash between Wittenberg and North Central was decided by a tremendous defensive stand. The Tigers stood strong for more than 30 seconds to secure a 58-55 victory and a spot in the national quarterfinals for the 15th time in program history.

The top-seeded Tigers, ranked 17th nationally, improved to 21-5 overall after winning the NCAC regular season championship with a 14-2 record.
