Jenkins, Holmes Sweep NCAC Football Weekly Awards

NCAC — Football, Offensive (Nov. 3, 2014)

Wittenberg junior quarterback Zack Jenkins (Frostproof, Fla./Frostproof) accounted for 401 yards and five total touchdowns in the Tigers 42-6 victory over Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday. He completed 28-of-39 pass attempts for 401 yards and two touchdowns, and also added three additional rushing touchdowns in the win. The 28 completions tied for the third-best single-game output in school history, while the 401 passing yards is tied for the fourth-best game in program history.

NCAC — Football, Defensive (Nov. 3, 2014)

Wittenberg sophomore linebacker Dustin Holmes (Springfield, Ohio/Tecumseh) led a strong defensive effort in the Tigers’ 42-6 win over Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday. He finished with a game-high 16 tackles (11 solo, 5 asst.), which included 1.5 tackles-for-loss. In addition, he halted an OWU drive in the first quarter with an interception that he returned 31 yards to the Battling Bishop 10 yard line.
