Joel Drake returned to his alma mater as an assistant cheerleading coach prior to the start of the 2014-15 academic year. Drake was a constant presence on the sidelines of Wittenberg football and basketball games during his career as a Tiger cheerleader, which concluded in 2004 when he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology. Drake went on to earn his Master of Education degree in comprehensive social studies from Antioch University McGregor in 2012. He lives in Springfield, Ohio, and teaches seventh grade social studies at Tecumseh Middle School in New Carlisle, Ohio.
