The Wittenberg Men and Women's Cross Country Teams competed at home from the Clark County Fairground hosting their home invitational. The Tigers and their fellow competitors had a day full of beautiful weather, fast times, and outstanding team efforts. The women's team secured a second-place finish to start the day with the men's team securing a fourth-place finish.

Sophomore Corin Turkovich paced the Tigers to a strong third-place finish with a time of 23:10.04. Turkovich had a showstopping Freshmen Year with multiple school records claimed in both cross-country and on the track. Freshmen Ella Webster was not too far behind Turkcovich with a time of 24:11.1. Webster, after training hard all summer long, is finally seeing the hard work pay off as she shined on the course in her first home meet with the Wittenberg Tiger's. Faster times and continued hard work are expected as Webster's season continues. The Tiger's third place runner of the day, Sophomore Sydney Khosla had a great day out on the course finishing with a time of 24:38.8. Khosla, like Turkovich, is coming back into her cross-country season after a record-breaking Track and Field season. Khosla will continue to look strong and confident out on the courses and races to come. To finish things off for the Women's top five finisher we have the Tiger's two Emma's working together throughout the race to help the Wittenberg secure their overall second-place finish. They both finished with the times of 25:26.7 (Senior, Emma Scritchfield) and 25:28.0 (Freshmen, Emma Hawk).
