Tiger Women Win Home Invitational, Men Record Runner-Up Finish

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - The women's cross country team defended their home course, coming away victorious in their own Wittenberg Invitational. On the men's side, in their first 8,000 meter race of the season, the Tigers packed their scoring group to come across just behind meet-winner Cedarville to finish in 2nd place.

 

Tallying a near-perfect score with 21 points, the Tiger women sent across seven of the first nine runners, led by individual champion Darcy Dubuc (Grand Haven, Mich./Grand Haven)in a time of 21:46 on the difficult 5,000 meter course.

Senior Gabe Savage (Lewisburg, Ohio/Tri-County North) ran to an 8th place finish in a time of 29:16 to pace the Tiger pack.

The Tiger harriers travel up to State College, Pennsylvania next weekend to compete in the Spiked Shoe Invitational, hosted by Division I Penn State University.
