Tigers Fall in Double Header at Home

Springfield, OH- Wittenberg returned home for two non-confrerence match-ups in their final home games of the season. The number three Tigers saw Gannon and McKendree in action but were unable to secure wins in either game.  

Game One- In game one, Wittenberg took on the Gannon University. The Tigers were unable to pick up a win against the Knights, falling with a score of 12-8. Scoring for Wittenberg were Savannah Cross, Emma Menjivar, Grace McLaughin, Sierra Bui, Evelyn Heil, and Kailey Cordova. Menjivar and McLaughin led the Tigers with two goals each. Leading defensively was Savannah Cross with four steals on the day and one block. In goal was Jordan Brough with ten blocks and two steals after facing 22 shots.

Game Two- In game two of the day the Tigers saw McKendree. Wittenberg looked to 2021 All-America honoree Grace McLaughin but fell with a score of 21-6. McLaughin led the way with three goals to bring her total on the day to five. Also getting through McKendree defense were Savanna Cross, Sierra Bui, and Meghan Lythgoe with one goal each. Splitting time in goal for the Tigers were Jordan Brough and Olivia Pena the duo tallied seven blocks.
