Springfield, OH- Wittenberg returned home this weekend to compete against four conference competitors in CWPA Regional games. The CWPA number three ranked Tigers took on Austin and Macalester in day one of competition then Carthage and Augustana in day two.

Game One- In day one of competition, the Tigers saw the number one ranked Austin College and number four ranked Macalester. In their first match-up of the day Wittenberg was able to score in each period with the most coming in the third period. Points were scored by Sierra Bui (2), Evelyn Heil (1), Emma Menjivar (1), Meghan Lythgoe (1), and Riley Kettelson (1). Wittenberg fell to the Kangaroos with a score of 19-6 and looked to comeback in game two against Macalester.

Game Two- Prior to the Red & White's second match-up of the day the team honored its two seniors for their senior night celebration. The class of 2022 includes Kiersten Heverly and Emma Menjivar. The Tigers put up seven goals in game two against Macalester with Savannah Cross, Evelyn Heil, and Kailey Cordova each scoring twice. Freshman, Sierra Bui also got on the board but the Red & White fell in their second match-up of the day with a score of 10-7

The Red & White had eight different individuals score on the day. Wittenberg was led by freshmen Evelyn Heil and Sierra Bui on the offensive side with three goals on the night each. 

Up Next- Wittenberg will return to action tomorrow against Carthage and number two ranked Augustana.
