Dayton, Ohio – The Wittenberg University Women's Tennis team was nearly perfect on Sunday (3/17) morning as the Tigers picked up a convincing 9-0 St. Patrick's Day win over Heidelberg at the Five Seasons Sports Club in Dayton. The win snapped the women's short two-match winless skid and moved their non-conference record to 5-2 on the year.

Who Stood Out

After sweeping the doubles competition with two 8-0 wins and another by default, the Tigers continued their dominance in the singles competition by winning three of the six flights by perfect 6-0, 6-0 tallies. The perfect singles set scores were accomplished by senior Carli Milano in the top flight, sophomore Harunya Ravindran in the third flight and sophomore Kathleen McGuff in the fifth position. In addition, senior Alivia Livesay and freshman Sarah Wilke were each 6-1, 6-0 winners in the second and fifth flights, respectively.

UP NEXT

The Tigers will now shift their attention toward conference opponents as six of their next seven matches are against NCAC foes, starting with a 4:00 p.m. home match against West Division-rival Ohio Wesleyan on Wednesday, March 20th.
