Tigers Drop Road Game To Gators

Meadville, PA- Wittenberg headed to Meadville, PA to take on the gators of Allegheny in their fourth conference match-up of the year. After four quarters, Wittenberg was unable to pick up their first conference win with a 18-7 loss.

The Tigers were able to get on the board in all four quarters with the second being their most successful with three goals. Starting things off in the first quarter was Jessica Flick on a free position shot. Scoring in the second quarter were Hannah Feder on another free position shot, Mya Wolfe unassisted, and Feder again with an assist from Katie Wadds. Flick got back in on the action in the third quarter with her second goal of the game. Also scoring in the third was Grace Kennedy. Flick tallied the Tigers final goal of the game in the fourth quarter to make the game 18-7.

Wittenberg Leaders- Wittenberg was led by Jessica Flick on offense with three goals followed by Hannah Feder with two. Katie Wadds led the Tigers in ground balls, picking up six on the day. Hannah Feder led the Tigers in draw control possessions with four. Leading in goal was Sidney Sheridan with 12 saves after facing 19 shots on goal.

NCAC Leaders- Wittenberg has six individuals leading in the conference. Jessica Flick sits at number five for goals on the season with 40 and tied at number seven for points with 45. Flick also stands at number two in the NCAC for free position success, going 16-33. Zoe Chirumbolo and Antavia Horne lead in draw controls with Chirumbolo at number five and Horne at number six. A trio of Katie Wadds, Antavia Horne, and Grace Kennedy lead in ground balls with a combined 136 on the season, Wadds leads the pack with 55. Horne, Wadds, and Chirumbolo sit in the top ten for caused turnovers with Wadds leading again with 32 on the season. For goalie, both Sidney Sheridan sits in the top five at number three for save percentage in the conference with 49.7%.
